Your thoughts are sullied and torn -
I hear them whisper from your ears,
torturing you with truths you would
rather forget. We do not speak of this
often, but tonight is different. Tonight,
the moon is full, and the clouds
weep the syllables of your name. Tonight,
the air is thick with hunger, and nourishment
zests from your veins. Tonight...tonight,
the doves sing wretched melodies through
misplaced strands of your hair. As your words
give way to impasse, the grass stills beneath
your trembled fists. I kneel beside you
on broken branches, trying to remember
the cadence of your favorite star. But I think
we have both forgotten.

Hello, Dear Me
Dear me,
remember our early promises
so heartfelt and true
about the beautiful future,
well, I haven't made them true yet,
but I can swear that they guide me.
Always.
I didn't love me much in the past -
words spoken to hurt seemed so real
and loving something not perfect felt like a sin.
Dear me,
I choose to love me now:
love my mind,
love the way I think and the way I understand,
love how my hair looks in the sun,
love the color of my eyes,
the books I choose to keep close,
how my fingers move over the piano,
the decisions made
and the first uncertain steps
That will take me where I want to go.

I spent the first few hours of my new year with literature and Pokemon X. We'll get to the literature later. Right now, I've been enjoying the latest entry in the Pokemon franchise. I don't know if I've gotten better, or the games have gotten easier, but I'm not having as much trouble catching the stupid things as I used to. Then again, it sure is nice of the developers to put someone near the beginning that gives you False Swipe :lol:
I've heard from Doc that he has to wear a brace on his arm for another month before he can start therapy. He is getting better, but it's slow going. Nothing I can do about it, though I'd least like t
